A variety of funds and endowments have been established to provide support for student scholarships and program enhancements in Physical Therapy. Your generous gift could make it possible for a deserving student to prepare for a rewarding career, train in an updated learning environment, attend a professional conference, or participate in any number of educational activities. The funds are awarded based on financial need. 307895 General Development Fund The General Development Fund allows the PT program to enhance the educational environment through the purchase of books, software, laboratory supplies and equipment. The fund also supports student activities such as attendance at the National Student Conclave. 311372 PT Lab Revisions and Support Fund Recently established to provide funds for the $250,000 in renovations and equipment needed to maintain our high standard of teaching excellence. These funds will replace the treatment table, chairs, and equipment in the clinical teaching labs that were in use when many of our alumni attended the program. 607862 Gladys G. Woods Physical Therapy Endowment Fund Established to honor Gladys G. Woods, founder and first Associate Professor and Director of the Physical Therapy program at Ohio State. Starks Physical Therapy/Nursing Scholarship Fund Established in 1999 for physical therapy and nursing students. Mr. Starks served the Physical Therapy Division many years in Dodd Hall. Gwen Moody Harre Scholarship Fund Established by the late Gilbert Harre of Bellefontaine to provide assistance to physical therapy students based on financial need and merit. The Donald Collins Physical Therapy Memorial Scholarship Fund Established by Gregory A. Collins, PT, as a memorial to his father, Donald Collins.
